- Since 1945 there has been a Ludwig bus from Zus to Augsburg -

The bus company Ludwig Tours was founded after the end of the war in May 1945 by Fritz Ludwig under the name "Der Zusamtaler" in Zusmarshausen.

In the founding phase, Fritz Ludwig built the first vehicle himself from several vehicles, some of which were badly damaged.

This vehicle was used to drive the first workers to Augsburg and to transport goods.

At this point in time, the first weekend trips were also taking place.

When there was no more fuel available, the vehicle was converted to wood gas drive on our own initiative, which was common at the time.

In 1951 the first new touring coach, a Mercedes-Benz with a Böbel body, was purchased.

The first international tours have already been organized with this 90 hp bus.

For example, the crossing of the Großglockner, trips to Switzerland, as well as study tours for florists from all over Germany to the Italian and French Riviera.

This goal is still approached today by the Ludwig Tours company.

The company founder was therefore given honorary citizenship in Bordighera and was awarded the Bordighera Golden Palm.

From now on the company grew continuously. In the mid-1960s, the Rudhart company in Wertingen was taken over, as a result of which the regular service expanded to the lower Zusamtal and lines between Wertingen, Zusmarshausen and Augsburg were operated.

In 1990 the form of business changed from the sole proprietorship Fritz Ludwig to OhG.

In this the daughter Waltraud Sollacher and the son Fritz Ludwig were partners.

Fritz Ludwig senior died after a serious illness. at the age of 72 in March 1990. His death was a heavy loss not only for all employees, but also for his regular customers and friends.

The management of the company was now taken over by his children Waltraud and Fritz.

In 1991 the regular services were included in the AVV (Augsburger Verkehrsverbund).

In addition to the involvement in regular and regular school transport, the coach business was further expanded, both in self-organized multi-day and holiday trips, as well as in rental car transport for clubs, schools and organizations.

Our large customer base includes various large companies, as well as Lion's Clubs, associations and study travel companies.

Up-to-date coaches were always available for this purpose.

In October 1997, Ms. Waltraud Sollacher died to the regret of everyone and the general partnership became a sole proprietorship again under the management of Fritz Ludwig junior.

He, as well as his wife Rita Ludwig, daughter Theresa Ludwig and son Maximilian Ludwig, have been running the company to this day with the help of many committed employees.
